Buy Gas NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
No I'm not saying stockpile it that would be selfish. But if your reading this before Katrina hits (and even a little bit after) go out ASAP and fill up your car(s). The reason is Katrina is going to damage or take out 9 MAJOR OIL RIGS IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. Yes 9, I would not hesitate to say that whatever your gas price is now per gallon, expect it to raise as much as $1 per gallon by Wednesday or Thursday.

Hi Ben. Sorry you think Daily Kos is garbage! I like it over there. But I'm a liberal, although a pretty center left one.
I filled up today - no question. Prices will be going up as this devastating hurricane hits.
FYI, I'll also be posting relief information on my blog if you're interested.
renarf, its all good, really I believe that we can unite and rally on this issue. I will be sure to copy your information these people need help bad. The time for partisan bickering is not now when fellow americans need our help.
